Well it has only been almost 3 weeks since my last update. We have done a lot it seems even though we really haven’t I don’t think. We’ve finalized the wedding party, dresses, rings, and my top.
For my part of the wedding party, we have Brandi, Sasha and Katie. For her wedding party we have Jess, Hannah and Mykayla. Our flower girls will be Jazmyn and Autumn. Our ring bearer will be Bryson.
We have also chosen the dress and the color. This is the dress, in Capri. We ordered Sasha’s dress and will have to order my sisters in a few weeks. Luckily they are both paying us back so that’s all good. Her dress will be available May 12th. So I’m hoping ordering my sisters a week and a half later won’t put it here that much later. We spent 141 and some change on the dress. So our spending is going up haha.
Addie and I are going to go look at the tux pants this week if we can get some free time. We will also make sure what color tie and vest to get her and her crew. We bought my corset top and it arrived this week. I love the way I look in it and how beautiful it is. My sister/maid of honor is trying to convince me to wear a veil but I haven’t committed to that route yet since I’m not sure how it will look on me.
We found out we’ll have to order our flower girls dresses in the next month or two so that they will be here in time. I’m hoping we can find something we like for relatively cheap. We will order the petals soon enough too. I think we are going to buy at least two more things of flowers just to be sure we have enough for boutonnieres and bouquets.
We have been searching for a cake topper that we both will enjoy but so far no luck that isn’t too expensive. I also bought Addie’s wedding ring but she has yet to see it. It is beautiful and being resized at this moment. I will have it on the 4th. We are looking into her co-worker/cop making our wedding cake. We are also planning to call our second choice reception hall tomorrow. We are going to confirm with our family friend about doing small foods such as pinwheels to have.
Our first marriage counseling meeting with the pastor is tomorrow at 5pm. I’m looking forward to it but also nervous since I’m not exactly sure how it will go. After looking at our checklist there is still a lot to be done but also not too much.
